At Narayan Clinic, we believe that communication is the foundation of quality life. Our Audiology and Speech Therapy department provides a full spectrum of diagnostic, preventive and rehabilitative services for individuals of all ages—from children experiencing developmental delays to adults managing age-related hearing loss or speech dysfunction.
Our diagnostic suite is designed to pinpoint the exact nature and degree of hearing impairment:
Comprehensive Hearing Evaluations: Pure Tone Audiometry, Speech Audiometry and Impedance testing to assess the functionality of the outer, middle and inner ear.
Hearing Aid Consultations: We provide professional guidance in selecting, fitting and calibrating the latest digital hearing aid technology, ensuring a seamless transition to improved hearing.
Tinnitus Assessment & Masking: Specialized strategies to manage chronic ringing in the ears, helping patients habituate and improve their focus and sleep.
Screening Services: Newborn hearing screenings and industrial hearing health checkups for long-term auditory wellness.
Our speech therapy team works closely with Dr. Narayan Jayashankar to provide rehabilitation that addresses the root cause of communication barriers:
Pediatric Speech & Language Therapy: Early intervention for speech delays, articulation disorders and language development issues in toddlers and children.
Adult Speech Rehabilitation: Therapy for adults recovering from stroke, neurological disorders (aphasia) or post-surgical recovery (e.g., after head and neck cancer surgery).
Voice Therapy: Focused sessions for professional voice users or patients recovering from laryngeal pathology, designed to optimize resonance, pitch and vocal cord hygiene.
Swallowing Therapy (Dysphagia Management): Specialized therapeutic exercises to improve swallowing safety and prevent aspiration for patients with neurological or structural throat issues.
Fluency Training: Evidence-based techniques to help children and adults manage stuttering and regain confidence in conversation.
Often, hearing loss and speech difficulties are interconnected. By providing both Audiology and Speech Therapy under one roof, we offer a cohesive treatment pathway. Our multi-disciplinary approach ensures that if a patient receives a hearing aid, they also receive the necessary speech rehabilitation to adjust to their "new" hearing, leading to significantly higher success rates in communication outcomes.
